Friday’s episode left us ALL gasping when Thomas DiMera ran straight into traffic after seeing his dad Chad hugging Cat Greene in the town square!
Let’s set the scene: Jennifer Horton had JUST spent quality time with Thomas, celebrating his good report card and reassuring him that Cat was “out of their lives forever.” Thomas was FINALLY smiling again. Jennifer promised him he wouldn’t have to see Chad and Cat together anymore.
And then? They walked into the square and saw Chad with his arms wrapped around Cat.
“He lied to me again!” Thomas yelled before running away—straight into the street where tires SCREECHED and Chad and Jennifer screamed in horror!
Now THAT’S how you end an episode! And Monday picks up right in the middle of this nightmare.
Jennifer Horton’s About To EXPLODE (And We Don’t Blame Her!)
Monday’s spoilers tell us that Jennifer unloads her worries to Kayla Brady Johnson, and HONESTLY? This woman has EVERY RIGHT to spiral!
Let’s recap what Jennifer’s been through in the past few days. Thomas teamed up with Rachel Black to catapult a pumpkin at Cat (it hit Alex instead, but still!). Jennifer watched her grandson struggle with the trauma of Cat impersonating his dead mother Abigail. She made promises to Thomas that Cat would be gone. She caught Chad HUGGING Cat mere HOURS after those promises. Thomas ran into TRAFFIC because of it!
Jennifer is probably thinking: “I WARNED Chad about this! I told him Thomas couldn’t handle seeing them together! And now look what happened!”
Kayla is the perfect person for Jennifer to confide in—she’s been a friend for DECADES, she’s a doctor who understands trauma, and she’s seen enough Salem drama to know that sometimes people make TERRIBLE relationship decisions even when their kids’ wellbeing is at stake!
But here’s the thing: Was Chad really “lying” to Thomas? Or was he genuinely trying to comfort Cat after learning about her mother’s early-onset dementia diagnosis?
The truth? It doesn’t matter. Thomas is a traumatized little boy who watched this woman pretend to be his dead mother, and seeing his dad comfort her feels like the ULTIMATE betrayal!

Chad DiMera’s Guilt Is About To EAT HIM ALIVE
And speaking of Chad—Monday’s spoilers say he bonds with Mike Horton, and we’re guessing this conversation is going to be HEAVY.
Mike is back in town for the Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic gala, and he’s probably going to give Chad some much-needed perspective. Mike understands complicated family dynamics, grief, moving on after loss, and making difficult parenting decisions.
Chad is likely DROWNING in guilt right now. His son just ran into traffic because Chad couldn’t stay away from the woman who caused Thomas so much pain. Even if Chad’s intentions were pure (comforting Cat about her mom), the optics are TERRIBLE.
Thomas needs therapy. Chad needs boundaries. Cat needs to understand that her presence in Chad’s life is triggering for his children. And Jennifer needs someone to LISTEN to her very valid concerns!
Will Chad’s conversation with Mike help him see that he needs to put Thomas first? Or will Chad convince himself that he can have both—a relationship with Cat AND a healthy relationship with his traumatized son?

But DAYS is also reminding us that with all that history comes PAIN, TRAUMA, and COMPLICATED family dynamics. Thomas running into traffic is a stark reminder that actions have consequences, lies destroy trust, and kids pay the price when adults can’t get their act together!
