Kevin Costner Sparks Reunion Rumors with Ex-Wife Amid Divorce
Kevin Costner Finds Support in Ex-Wife Cindy Silva Amid Divorce Heartbreak
Actor Kevin Costner has reportedly turned to his first wife, Cindy Silva Costner, for emotional support as he navigates the pain of his divorce from Christine Baumgartner. Sources close to the actor describe him as heartbroken over the end of his second marriage.
Costner and Silva were married from 1978 to 1994. Their high-profile divorce at the time cost the actor an estimated $80 million. Despite the split, the former couple remained on good terms over the years.
“Kevin and Cindy have remained close friends, and she’s been a source of guidance for him during this difficult period,” a source shared. “Cindy is a wise woman, and he really values her support.”
Now remarried to business executive Larry Ameen for over 20 years, Cindy resides in California. Though both have moved on, their bond has endured—particularly for the sake of their three children.

“He’s deeply grateful that, despite their past, they’ve built such a strong and meaningful friendship,” the source added. “She’s become a trusted ally and offers heartfelt advice. Kevin often leans on her.”
Costner also shares three children with Baumgartner and has another son from a third relationship. The entire extended family maintains a friendly and cooperative dynamic.
“They often reunite for family occasions, like the kids’ birthdays, and enjoy spending time together. Everything is very amicable,” said the source, noting that Costner “still holds a special place in his heart for Cindy.”
Reflecting on their early days, Costner once recalled their first date in 1989, saying, “She was beautiful, sweet, and smarter than me. She represented everything I love about women. I was so proud that she agreed to go out with me—I couldn’t wait to introduce her to my parents.”
